- The Federal Council has elected Martin Schlegel as Chairman of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank.
- Antoine Martin will become Vice President. Petra Tschudin, previously a deputy member of the SNB Governing Board, will join the Governing Board.
- Schlegel replaces Thomas Jordan, who has presided over the SNB since 2012. Jordan announced his resignation in March.
Martin Schlegel, who holds a doctorate in economics, was appointed member and Vice President of the Governing Board by the Federal Council on May 4, 2022. He previously worked in various functions at the SNB. Among other things, he also headed the National Bank’s branch in Singapore.

The new Vice President of the Board of Directors will be Antoine Martin. The economist, who holds a doctorate, was elected to the board by the Federal Council on January 1, 2024. He previously worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
The Federal Council has newly elected Petra Tschudin to the three-member Executive Board. The qualified economist can look back on a long career at the SNB, the Bank for International Settlements and in research.
