Marvel: Why You’ll Never See These ‘Awkward’ Iron Man Scenes

Scenes From The Marvel Blockbuster Are So “Awkward” That Kevin Feige Decided They Would Never Be Shown, Says One Of ‘Iron Man’ Producers!

The first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Iron Man, released in theaters in 2008, has such a superheroic aura that it seems a priori “untouchable”. However, there are cut scenes judged so “bad” that Kevin Feige decided never to take them out of the closet!

Duringan interview given to the ScreenRant website, producer Jeremy Latcham reveals that several cut scenes from Iron Man have never been shown to the public and that there is very little chance that they will ever be. The reason ? They are simply “very bad”. And surprise: we learn the content!

“There are three or four cut scenes from Iron Man that I think will never be shown because they are so bad”says Jeremy Latcham during the promotion of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Thieves.

“In 2012, I asked Kevin Feige if we should release the scenes from Abu (member of the Ten Rings terrorist group who captures Tony Stark at the start of the film, editor’s note) doing the laundry. He replied: “No. We never release that. People will not understand. It will be embarrassing if they see these scenes.”

And Jeremy Latcham adds that Abu is not the only one doing the laundry in these cut sequences. “Tony Stark was also doing the laundry and I don’t think those scenes will ever be seen. We’d have to find out but I don’t think they’ve been seen”he says.

“There’s a scene where Tony Stark is doing his captors’ laundry, breaking the washing machine and stealing parts to build his costume. It’s so absurd. It’s rubbish.”
