Marvel’s Iron Man VR: the first 30 minutes of gameplay on Oculus Quest 2 (and it’s impressive)

Iron Man VR is a game that marked its time, in 2020, when it was released on Playstation-VR. embody Tony Stark is an absolute hit and virtual reality is the ideal way to live the experience in pure immersion. The helmet of sony did the job well, but was handicapped by its wire which got in the way a bit during rotary movements and its controllers (PS Move) which did not have joysticks and had forced the studio to opt for teleportation during the ground phases. All this is now far behind with the version Meta Quest 2.

To introduce you to this new version, we have recorded our first thirty minutes of play (i.e. levels 1 and 2). You will see that the Quest 2 version does not have to pale against that of the PSVR and that the portage is a great success. You’ll see that playing wireless is nice, but it’s caused us to find ourselves moving about our play space without noticing. You will also notice that we left a passage where we had to recenter the helmet.

If ever the game appealed to you, it is available on the Meta Quest Store here at a price of €39.99. It only turns on Meta Quest 2 and, a priori, it will remain an exclusivity Meta (Oculus Studios) on hybrid headsets, so it won’t output on PICO 4, to be more clear. You can afford a helmet Meta Quest 2 on Amazon.
