Marvel’s Midnight Suns: Magik Banishes Enemies to Limbo in Gameplay Preview

The news surrounding Marvel’s Midnight Suns was a little calmer at the start of the month as we got used to our weekly dose of videos featuring the game’s protagonists. Firaxis. However, we were still able to discover the Hunter in action and, above all, a new release date was communicated on certain platforms during the Disney & Marvel Games Showcase, while an animated prequel is planned before that. Since the launch is not so far off, the pace of character introductions will seem to pick up again, with the release on Monday of an overview of the capabilities of Magik.

The queen of limbo promises to be unique in combat, since she will be able to teleport enemies and allies through portalswill wield a sword and can visibly appeal to his demonic half Darkchylde. Not to change, we will be entitled to a showcase soon to see more about it, while a video will present it to us as it appears in the comics, which should not hurt since it does not is probably not the best known to the general public, although having appeared in The New Mutants as Anya Taylor-Joy.

First Appearance: Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975)

Story

Born in a kolkhoz in the depths of Siberia, Magik lived an ordinary childhood that did not really suggest her future as an extraordinary mutant, a powerful witch and queen of a hellish dimension called Limbo. She always looked up to her big brother, the mutant Colossus, and dreamed of developing powers to accompany him to Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.

When she was six years old, Magik was abducted by Mephisto, an immortal demon lord, who imprisoned her in Limbo to make her a living weapon. But more was needed to break his iron will. Her mutant powers awakened and Magik discovered a gift for teleportation which made her even more precious to her captor. Having become Mephisto’s apprentice, she has made a weapon of her extraordinary life force. Using the Soul Sword, her teleportation powers, and her sharp mind, she eventually overthrew the demon lord and returned to Earth. Her knowledge of demonic forces, her affinity for the supernatural, and her experience as a hardened warrior make her an ideal recruit for the Midnight Suns.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is therefore expected on December 2 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, then on PS4, Xbox One and Switch, and you can pre-order it on Amazon at the price of €54.99 in its Enhanced Edition.
