Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is a huge success
Thanks to a tweet from the official PlayStation account, we learn that the highly acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 sold 2.5 million copies in just 24 hours, an astronomical figure. This confirms the power of the Marvel franchises and the solidity of Sony in the sector. For our part, we gave it an excellent score of 8/10, highlighting its splendid production, its captivating storyline as well as its welcome new game mechanics.
Another tweet reveals that the game has become the fastest-selling PS5 exclusive of all time, and the phenomenon shows no signs of stopping. Indeed, the success of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 should continue on PC, where a huge player base remains to be conquered. Although we do not yet have any news regarding this version, it is logical to expect that it will be available during the year 2024. Sony clearly manifests its intention to give more importance to the PC in as a gaming platform. By the end of 2019, the game had exceeded 13 million copies sold, making one of the best-selling games on the console. And that’s without counting the PS5 remaster and the PC game. With that, it’s hard to imagine Sony abandoning its golden goose. Moreover, to try to ride the same kind of success, we know that Marvel’s Wolverine is also in preparation within the same studio.
