Mass Effect returns with surprising free content

In recent hours, the immense Mass Effect franchise has returned to the forefront with a surprise that no one could have anticipated. Free and paid content is available.

Fans can’t wait for the next Mass Effect, but if the rumors are true, then it’s going to take (a lot) of time. According to rumors, the fifth opus would not arrive for several years. And given the release window that’s circulating, it may ultimately be a PS6 and Xbox Series 2 game, although a cross-gen title would also make sense. It’s not tomorrow the day before, so the Normandy crew still made their return this week.

New free and paid Mass Effect content

If you’re hungry for a Mass Effect-style game, the future Exodus developed by BioWare veterans, Naughty Dog (The Last of Us), id Software (Doom), Santa Monica Studio (God of War) and 343 Industries (Halo Infinite), will perhaps be released before. It’s a PS5, Xbox Series and PC sci-fi title, at the crossroads of Mass Effect with a touch of Interstellar, since Matthew McConaughey will notably be in the cast. But yeah, it probably won’t be worth the original.

In the meantime, BioWare and Bungie have announced an exclusive Destiny 2 X Mass Effect partnership. A collaboration that allows you to recover different equipment in the looter shooter in two ways. On one side a free Destiny 2 Alliance requisitions pack, and on the other a paid Normandy crew pack. And if you have enough Argentum, the in-game currency, it is possible to also acquire the finishing move “Omnifrappe”, as well as the “Dance all-purpose” movement.

Destiny 2 Alliance Requisitions Pack (Free)

  • Specter’s Improved Defense Hull
  • The Alliance Scout Frigate
  • The Sparrow Alliance Drop Ship

Destiny 2 x Mass Effect Normandy Crew Pack (Paid)

  • N7 Armor Set Inspired by Commander Shepard (Titan Class)
  • Valkarian gear based on Garrus (Hunter class)
  • Shadow Broker outfit modeled after Liara (Arcanist class)
