There was a massive data leak at Microsoft. As the company reports on its website, a misconfigured server was the reason. SOCRadar security researchers informed Microsoft of the problem on September 24th.
The flaw could have allowed unauthorized individuals to gain access to Microsoft customer names, email addresses, email content, company names, and phone numbers. The gap has since been closed.
