Be careful, if you have recently purchased Volvic brand mineral water. 1.5L bottles that taste and smell like “vinegar” are currently subject to a product recall.
The lot affected by this recall is the one whose number is 3057640257858. These water packs were sold in many brands, such as Intermarché, Carrefour and Casino.
The bottles were marketed from December 21, 2021 to January 4, 2022, in packs of six. The durability date of the lot is set for December 18, 2023.
The health authorities noted the “potential presence of an alteration of the taste with a sensation and an odor of vinegar”.
If you have one of these packs, be careful not to ingest this water because of the risk of “organoleptic changes” (which could affect the sense organ, editor’s note).
Consumers are advised to return the products in question to the points of sale or to contact the consumer service on 08 00 00 37 98. The recall will end on Wednesday 19 January.
