Matt LeBlanc dad: The sad reason he ‘never left his house’ for years

While he has just celebrated his 55th birthday this Monday, July 25, the interpreter of Joey took the opportunity to make a big point on his life, and in particular on his daughter, Marina Pearl LeBlanc, born of his love with actress Melissa McKnight.

Aged 18, the latter has never hidden from her father that her notoriety was sometimes a problem. “Sometimes it’s a nuisance because the fans come up to me on the street and she really doesn’t want me to waste my time with them. But sometimes she also gets some benefit from it. Like, for example, oObtain well-located tickets to attend a Lady Gaga concert!“.

If she remains a teenager like the others, Marina Pearl LeBlanc nevertheless suffers from a rare disease: cortical dysplasia. Pathology which was discovered when she was only one year old. “When my daughter was younger, we discovered that a disease could damage his brain, bones and motor skills. It was a very dark period of my life because it touched the flesh of my flesh, the person i loved the most in the world. Fortunately, we avoided the worst,” told Matt LeBlanc.

Very worried about his little girl, Matt LeBlanc had a hard time recovering from this announcement from the doctors, to the point where he put his career on hold in order to stay by his side: “For years, I hardly left the house. I was exhausted. Most actors call their agent and say, ‘Do you have any news?’ I called mine and said, ‘please forget my number for a few years’. It was a dark time. I almost had a nervous breakdown.”
