One experience with Perry in particular seems to have stuck in his mind: “As I stood backstage preparing to perform, Matt whispered, ‘The audience is going to go crazy when they see you! Be prepared for a lot of screaming.’ “

When he came through the door, however, it was quiet, Stamos remembers. After the scene he was embarrassed and wanted to withdraw. But then Matthew Perry stood in front of the audience and said: “Ladies and gentlemen, a round of applause for John Stamos! You probably didn’t recognize him at first because he looks so much better in real life!” A special moment for Stamos: “I have never forgotten this and the world will never forget you,” writes the actor and concludes his statement with the hashtag #ripmatthewperry.
