His appearances at the jungle camp or most recently on "Celebrities under Palms" also earned him a lot of criticism. The 36-year-old can even understand the negative comments, as he explains in an interview with the news agency spot on news. "It has always been like that with me, no matter where I was: some loved me and others hated me."
The big advantage of it is that he "is never indifferent to anyone". "There are people who are ignored or not noticed because they are inconspicuous. It's different with me and that's a good thing." The 36-year-old is currently taking part in the TV show "Das große Sat.1 Promiboxen": On Friday (September 18, 8:15 pm) he will step into the ring against Julian F. M. Stoeckel (33). Mangiapane takes it calmly that some of his haters are wishing him "hard in the face".
Better to polarize than "Everybody's Darling"
"I believe that in order to hate someone, you first have to get to know them personally. That's why I usually take a neutral view, because I always think people only see a certain facet of me that polarizes. I'm not everybody's darling but everybody's darling is also everybody's asshole, "explains Mangiapane.
