For season 8, Overwatch 2 will receive a new tank to expand its list of heroes: Mauga. The character’s abilities were not presented in detail in his announcement trailer, but we can see a glimpse of his skills. Thus, Mauga will be the new hero of Season 8 of OW2 and will therefore be present in the Season Pass (paid) from December 8. However, we will have to wait for a conference that focuses on
Overwatch 2 before learning more about the character and the next season.

Mauga in a few lines
Already known to the universe for having made an appearance in the past, Mauga finally arrives on Overwatch 2. What we know about him is still limited, but here is in a few lines what we already know about the new hero.

When and where to play Mauga?
Like all the new charactersOverwatch 2Mauga will be unlocked in the S8 Season Pass, at
level 45. Note that the Premium (paid) version of the Pass allows you to obtain it immediately.
On the other hand, she will not be immediately available in ranked play, like the previous new heroes of OW2. She is also absent from the new Heroes Mastery game mode, currently reserved for only a few characters.
Mauga is therefore the new hero (number 39) on Overwatch 2. The future Tank will be available from the release of season 8, via the Season Pass.
