Remedy Entertainment launched at the end of last year Alan Wake 2an excellent survival horror in the Remedy Connected Universe. The Finnish studio is also developing Control 2her spin off cooperative multiplayer PvE FBC: Break (Project Condor), a shooting game PvE cooperative Project Kestrel (formerly Vanguard) and finally remakes of the first two Max Payne.
Frankness with the cop hard-boiled belongs to Rockstarbut the studios reached an agreement to put back Max at the forefront and, now thatAlan Wake 2 is finished, the majority of the studio’s staff is working on these remakes. In its latest financial statement, Remedy reveals that these new versions of Max Payne will have a budget similar to Alan Wake 2but it is the license owner who finances the developmentto know Rockstar. The developer hopes that the title will enter full production during the first half of 2024, in the coming weeks, just like Control 2 and Project Condor. Things should therefore speed up, but Control 2 is still only at the proof of concept stage, the studio is working on the combat and mechanics of gameplay of Project Condor, these are therefore the remakes of Max Payne which should be the next games to be released by Remedy.
Tero Virtala, CEO from the studio, recalls thatAlan Wake 2 received numerous awards at Game Awards, Remedy now has two very solid franchises in its connected universe, Alan Wake And Controlbut he wants to increase the pace and release suites more regularly and thus maximize profits. It must be said that fans waited 13 years to see the continuation of the adventures ofAlan Wakewhile the game first game with Jesse Faden already dates from 2019 and Control 2 is not ready to be released for a few more years.
