Launched in 2019, the EvasHair brand offers a complete range of moisturizing products for textured hair. Its founder, Eva Biassou-Andre looks back on the genesis of the brand, its ethical commitments as well as its future projects.

“ It all started with YouTube in 2017 » remembers Eva Biassou-Andre. Faced with a multitude of hair compliments, the young woman quickly launched her own channel on the web to share her minimalist hair routine. His miracle recipe? : black castor oil extracted according to the Haitian tradition. Its virtues? Stimulate hair growth and thickening, and moisturize frizzy, curly and curly hair.
In 2019, EvasHair see the day. “ After the oil, we then launched a moisturizing hair range including a shampoo, a mask conditioner and a leave-in cream, not forgetting the food supplements », says the founder.

A virtuous and local approach
“ From the start of the adventure, we decided to work in the form of a Haitian cooperative, to help families live with dignity and contribute to the local economy. », says Eva Biassou-Andre. In addition to fully financing a school welcoming nearly 200 students, the brand also finances a local organization for the reforestation of Haiti.
The first edition of International Textured Hair Day
Very attentive to its customers, EvasHair also supports women in setting up a hair routine via its social networks. “ We are proud to have founded, last year, International Textured Hair Day which pays tribute to frizzy, curly and curly hair and wants to popularize learning about its maintenance » rejoices Eva. Given the success of this first edition, a second is planned for October 26!
