Sega has just given more details regarding the launch of the Mega Drive Mini 2 in Europe. The appointment is made on October 27, 2022. In addition, the manufacturer has just published a video which presents the complete list of games included with the console.
In June 2022, we learned that Sega was set to launch the Mega Drive Mini 2 in October 2022 in the Japanese market. No wonder when you see the success of the Mega Drive Mini and its 40 integrated games in September 2019.
From what we knew, this reissue included around fifty titles from the Mega Drive catalog, but also from that of the Mega CD, another cult console from the manufacturer and one of the first on the market to use CD-Roms.

However, Sega had yet to reveal the release date in Europe, as well as the full list of titles included. It is now the case, via an official video posted on Twitter and YouTube. Let’s first come to the full list of games included with the Mega Drive Mini 2.

Limited stocks according to Sega
Regarding the release date, the Mega Drive Mini 2 will be available in Europe from October 27, 2022, as in Japan and the United States. And if American players can already pre-order their copy, European users will unfortunately have to be patient, as sales are not yet open. Moreover, and if you are interested, you will have to be reactive, Sega having assured that Mega Drive Mini 2 stocks will be lower than those of the first Mini of the name.
We suspect that Sega was faced with the difficulties caused by the shortage of electronic components and that the company was forced to make concessions on the quantity produced. Regarding its price, the machine is displayed at the price of $99.99 on Amazon USA.
