Megami Tensei Last Bible is reincarnated on the Nintendo Switch

As has been the case with some shoot-them-ups from specialist Cave lately, Megami Tensei Gaiden: Shin’yaku Last Bible will be back through the G-Mode company, in the G-Mode Archives collection. In other words, this is the port of an original RPG made at the time for Japanese mobiles, and updated for release on the Nintendo console.

Quite different from the contemporary and post-apo tropes of the original saga, hence the Gaiden which means “special edition”, Last Bible is closer to the universes fantasy Dragon Quest way, without putting away the variety of the bestiary in the closet. Born on Game Boy, this series of spin-offs subsequently benefited from various adaptations on Game Gear, Game Boy Color or even Super Famicom, until experiencing a trilogy on old Japanese phones, around an original scenario and reworked graphics. It is precisely the first part of these applications, operated from September 2007, which will soon appear on Switch in Japan.

The story takes place on the tragic Galeria, where the Demon King returns every hundred years to invade the region. The heroes have so far managed to repel the threat by using the power of Gaia entrusted by the angels to seal it, but the next invasion is looming, and your hero, claiming the rank of Gaia Master, intends to play the role of the saviour. As always or almost in the saga, it will be a question of strengthening the ranks by pacting with some of the demons crossed on the road, before considering multiple mergers to see them gain in power.

No price or date for what should normally remain exclusive to the Japanese eShop, for lack of known location.
