Meghan and Harry: she surprises him with a reenacted Botswana trip

Simple gifts are out of the question for Prince Harry (35) and Duchess Meghan (38). The two recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary and surprised each other with gifts based on 'cotton', which is supposed to stand for closeness and solidarity. Now an alleged insider has told the "People" magazine what special gesture Meghan thought about for Harry's 35th birthday in September last year.

"Last year on Harry's birthday, Meghan recreated her camping adventure in Botswana in her back yard. It's a place that means so much to them – and Harry in particular," explains the anonymous source. "So Meghan wanted to bring this happy place to him on his day. She set up a tent, fetched sleeping bags, cooked dinner, and followed Botswana, where they fell in love."

Africa means a lot to them

Africa has a special meaning for Prince Harry. The Royal has been involved in charities for many years. In the meantime, the country has become like a "second home" for him. In 2016 he and Meghan traveled to Botswana for the first time. A year later, they also celebrated Meghan's 36th birthday there. In addition, they are said to have spent their honeymoon in Africa. Harry also lived in Lesotho for a few months in 2004.
