Meghan Markle and Harry do not intend to return their royal titles: "What would that change?"

A large majority of Britons believe that Prince Harry should lose his royal titles. A subject already raised when the son of King Charles III and his wife Meghan Markle resigned from their functions within the monarchy, but which is becoming more and more pressing now that the couple have multiplied direct attacks on the royal family. A survey conducted in December revealed that 98% of attendees still wanted the couple to be stripped of their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles. During an interview with 60 minutes, Prince Harry however revealed not wanting to give up his status since he considers “that it won’t make any difference”.

On the occasion of the release of Sparehis explosive memoirs, journalist Anderson Cooper then asked him why he was so keen on reveal such intimate conversations between him and his brother, Prince William, when their desire to leave the British monarchy was to evolve away from all the problems that came with it. Prince Harry responded bluntly.

According to the youngest son of King Charles III, to settle his problems internally with his family never came to anything conclusive : “Every time I’ve tried to do it privately there have been briefings, leaks and stories against me and my wife. You know, the family motto is never complain, never explain. But that’s just a motto. And it doesn’t really hold up.” Tired of being the ugly duckling in the eyes of all, Prince Harry decided to tell his own version of the story, “raw and unvarnished honesty”, as summarized in the back of his book. A choice that could nevertheless threaten the royal titles of his children, Archie and Lilibet.
