2024 - Meghan Markle distraught in her wedding dress? Why no one came to her rescue

Meghan Markle married Prince Harry in 2018. During the ceremony, the actress had a problem with her wedding dress. Tom Bower, author of a book about the conflict between the couple and the royal family, revealed why no one came to help him.

Mainly known for her role in the series Suits, Meghan Markle saw her fame reach a whole new level when she made her romance with Prince Harry official in 2017. After revealing her engagement to Lady Diana’s youngest son, the actress announced her departure from the series Suitsafter the 7th season. Wanting to focus on her relationship with Prince Charles’ son, Meghan Markle has taken the decision to interrupt her acting career. In addition, she also decided to close her Instagram account, which had 1.9 million followers, as well as the website she had embodied since May 2014, in which she gave food, travel, fashion and beauty advice.

It was finally on May 19, 2018 that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry got married. That day, the former actress arrived at St George’s Chapel in Windsor in a stunning traditional white wedding dress, which caused her some minor concerns. As she got out of her car, footage shows Meghan’s veil had become twisted in the vehicle. Seeing that the Duchess of Sussex was in an awkward position, clothing designer Clare Waight Keller and an assistant rushed to help her. However, a military man tasked with opening the car door for Meghan did not offer to help.

Meghan Markle: the day she was rude to an officer

Author of a book on the conflict between the British royal family and the couple formed by Meghan and HarryTom Bower revealed to the DailyMirror why this soldier had not moved a finger. “A serviceman told me an extraordinary story about Meghan when she arrived at her wedding at Windsor Castle on that glorious day in 2018. You see her get out of the car unaccompanied and she has trouble with the train of her dress and the army officer doesn’t come forward to help her.. The reason is that the day before the rehearsal she had been very rude to him, so he said to himself : ‘well, i’m not going to help you today‘. I didn’t get the story from him but from one of his fellow officers, who explained what happened“, he pointed out.
