Melodies of the Mire opens a new region in Enshrouded

Last March, Keen Games launched the first update of its survival game. Two months later, Melodies of the Mire adds even more content to Enshrouded. On the program this time, a new region, musical instruments, class balancing and the arrival of double daggers. And that’s without even counting all the quality of life improvements and little extras.

For this new adventure, the Blackmire Forest opens up to players. It is made up of gigantic trees, roots and dwellings hidden between the branches. Verticality, already very present, is intended to be even more important here. And to help you enjoy it, trampolines are added. Of course, a new area doesn’t come alone. Local creatures lurk, like the Vukah. But many other things lurk in the Swamplands and underground.

With this new biome, new resources therefore logically appear. Decorations, accessories and even furniture will delight architects. However, these materials above all signify the arrival of new equipment, musical instruments. Lute, harp, drums and flute offer greater immersion. But if playing music is an opportunity to have a good time, the instruments above all unlock new buffs to strengthen the players.

Various improvements

New things are good. But improving what is already there is just as important. And Keen Games has understood this well since it is once again by drawing inspiration from player feedback that many modifications have been made. The Melodies of the Mire updateEnshrouded thus makes the progression more coherent. It is no longer indexed on the server, but directly to the character. This allows new players to be able to complete all quests rather than starting where the server host is at.

At the same time, flame altars and different bases can now be renamed. Tombstones correctly display the character’s name, rather than the Steam account they belong to. All classes will be entitled to massive balancing in order to make them more competitive with each other. And to top it all off, the thief finally becomes playable thanks to the double daggers.
