Melrose Place: what happened to the stars of the cult series of the 1990s?


On the occasion of the broadcast on M6 of an episode of “Fantasy Island” bringing together the actresses of “Melrose Place” Josie Bissett, Laura Leighton and Daphne Zuniga, AlloCiné gives you news of the casting of the cult series of the 1990s.

This Saturday August 19, 2023, M6 is broadcasting new episodes of Fantasy Island from 9:10 p.m. In the second part of the evening, viewers of the channel will also attend a reunion at the top among actors from the cult series of the 1990s Melrose Place!

When “Melrose Place” meets “Fantasy Island”

Indeed, Josie Bissett (Jane), Laura Leighton (Sydney) and Daphne Zuniga (Jo) give the line here for scenes in which the nostalgia effect is assured! In this sequel to the emblematic fiction The Fantasy Island, the actresses play three old friends landing in this heavenly place to celebrate their fiftieth birthday…

On this occasion, AlloCiné has decided to give you some news from the entire cast of Melrose Place! Offered on the Fox channel in the United States between 1992 and 1999, the show had seven seasons and no less than 226 episodes, each crazier than the next!

But this mini-reunion in Fantasy Island is not the first to occur for the former stars of Melrose Place… In 2009, the CW channel launched a sequel to the flagship series and in these new adventures, Heather Locklear (Amanda ), Daphne Zuniga, Laura Leighton, Josie Bissett and Thomas Calabro (Michael) had all resumed their roles of yesteryear!

What happens to the stars of “Melrose Place”?

Apart from this parenthesis towards the past, the interpreters of the heroes of Melrose Place have for the most part never stopped working. Some like Courtney Thorne-Smith (Alison) or Grant Show (Jake) have multiplied the guests over the years…

Others like Jack Wagner (Peter), Rena Sofer (Eve) or even Vanessa Williams (Rhonda) returned to fame for a while by intervening in a soap opera, while Kristin Davis (Brooke) or Alyssa Milano (Jennifer) are literally become icons of the small screen after Melrose Place…

Doug Savant (Matt) and Marcia Cross (Kimberly) have lived at the heart of a real social phenomenon by participating in Desperate Housewives! Kelly Rutherford (Megan), for her part, made herself known to a younger generation of viewers by playing six years in Gossip Girl.
