Ukrainian NaVi star s1mple has announced the extension of his contract a few days before the start of the Rio 2022 Major.

The transfer window on CS:GO promises to be animated this winter, with in particular big moves planned on the side of Astralis, which released several players including k0nfig and which could bring dev1ce back, dissatisfied at Ninjas in Pyjamas. At Natus Vincere, now 4th in the world ranking, good news: star Alexander “s1mple” Kostylev has extended his contract for a further three years.

s1mple joined NaVi on August 4, 2016. During this time, the team has achieved many major wins in various tournaments including ESL One: New York 2016, CS:GO Asia Championships 2018, ESL One: Cologne 2018, StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 7, BLAST Premier: Global Final 2020 and the third season of the Intel Grand Slam with a prize pool of $1,000,000.

The main achievement is winning the PGL Major Stockholm 2021, which also earned NAVI $1,000,000. At the same time, s1mple himself won 21 MVP awards and twice became the best player in the world according to the HLTV portal – in 2018 and 2021.

We are confident that the Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022 tournament will be a success for the team, and that s1mple in Brazil will once again be one of the creators of NAVI’s success!

The team is therefore counting on its Ukrainian star for the next IEM in Rio, which begins October 31. Winner of the RMR Europe B qualification tournament, NaVi qualified easily with his Russian-Ukrainian roster which was helped by sdy, replacing for the competition from MAD Lions.
