Following Team Liquid’s poor performance at IEM and PGL Major, two veterans are benched, including Frenchman shox.
The European organization on CS:GO, Team Liquid, announced movement for its lineup, with the departure of two veterans. French Richard “shox” Butterfly30, and the American Eric “adreN” Hoag, 32, are placed on the bench and free to seek a new contract for the rest of the competition. A decision which was not motivated by the management but which would follow the poor performance by TL since the start of the season.
At the beginning of the month, the team had missed its IEM XVII in Dallas, failing to make it out of Group B, eliminated by Cloud9 in the lower bracket. The team had especially known a big disappointment at the PGL Major of Antwerpfinishing in last place in the Legends Stage with 3 losses in 3 matches.
Shox would also be out of the country, 6 months after signing in the structure, and would like to return to France. According to some sources, new blood should arrive with the signing of the young Latvian from Virtus.pro, YEKINDAR, currently on the bench of his team.
Today we are announcing that shox & adreN are stepping down from our active lineup as we explore all of our future options for our roster.
