Mercato LoL: the general manager of T1, Polt, dismissed

General Manager of the T1 structure for two years, Polt left the team after notably taking Faker’s teammates to the roof of South Korea at the Spring Split.

Despite another fantastic year for the Korean structure T1, the excellence was not full as the team lost their final against DRX at Worlds 2022, after conceding a second place in the summer split. Three months earlier, T1 had chained records to finish undefeated in the Spring Split in LCK, thanks to League of Legends monsters, faker in mind. In early September, faced with slightly lower results, Bengi had been promoted to Head Coach of the team in place of Polt, who had retained only his powers as General Manager.

A transition visibly, since T1 announces on November 14 that Choi “Polt” Seong-hun has been removed from his position as general manager, two years after his arrival at the head of the team. Under his leadership, T1 will therefore have had a more than prosperous period, progressing quickly to go from mid-table in LCK to the top of the region. Despite everything, no victory at the Worlds 2020, 2021 and 2022 for him.

While the transfer window has largely started on the side of the rosters, that of T1 has so far not evolved. The team should keep counting on Faker next season to, perhaps, finally win a world title.
