Astralis has announced the first signing for the Summer Split in the LEC, with the arrival of veteran Team GO (GamersOrigin) top laner Vizicsacsi.

Announced at Astralis a few days ago, the toplaner Kiss “VizicsacsiTamás has indeed left the LFL team of GamersOrigin (now called Team GO) this Monday. In the process, his new team formalized his arrival.

The League of Legends player will therefore change air for the 4th time in a year. He had returned to the Rift at MAD Lions for a freelance as a coach in the summer of 2021. Back as a player then, he had then played the role of supersub with PEACE for the Worlds 2021, before finally joining GamersOrigin’s LFL for the 2022 Spring Split.

Return to the LEC for the 28-year-old Hungarian player, former Schalke 04 and Splyce. Astralis, which missed its first part of the season, had decided to release three players including top laner WhiteKnight. Vizicsacsi reclaims the spot and is touted as an addition of experience as a veteran of the esports scene, but also a flexible and reliable player. The assistant coach Bjørn Hansen explains his future role:

By adding Vizicscacsi to the team, we have a veteran player who understands what his role is in the team and can create an impact in teamfights no matter how many resources are allocated to him. He’s already shown incredible motivation – both on and off the rift – and has been playing at a high level for so long that he instinctively knows what to do in high-pressure situations.
