Mercato LoL: world champion Doinb leaves LNG Esports

The contract of Kim “Doinb” Tae-sang has expired and the player has officially left LNG Esports, announces the Weibo page of the structure this Tuesday. The club’s LPL midlaner was hailed by his former management, recalling the ‘368 days of walking with the team’ where he ‘led by example, showing self-discipline, never being arrogant despite his reputation, a serious, hard-working and cautious professional attitude that never wavered from start to finish.”

The South Korean, who arrived in December 2021, is therefore now free, just like the other players who have been announced on the departure these last three days: the botlaner Light, the toplaner Ale, and the support LvMao. LNG currently retains only two players from the previous season, PandaC who could start on the toplane, and Tarzan in the jungle (logical, well).

Now 25 years old, Doinb has notably won the 2019 Worlds with FPX, a team with which he also obtained several championship titles or podiums in the LPL. With LNG, his journey was a little more complicated, offering himself a semi-final of the Demacia Cup as soon as he arrived in December 2021, a third place in the Regional Finals of the league in September, and not much in between. At 24 hours from the start of the Demacia Cup 2022, LNG will undoubtedly have to rely on a team of subs for the competition…
