Delicate coral tones, sparkling nuances of turquoise and blue: what sounds like a holiday by the sea is now conquering the beauty segment. This season we are wearing our make-up in all facets of the ocean.

Luminous corals, cute starfish, delicately shimmering fish… and mermaids! We dive down, because the sea aesthetics, whether fictitious or real, inspires in the beauty world with all its facets. Whether it’s a rosy shadow reminiscent of cute anemones or a metallic liner that looks like sea creatures’ fins, our makeup is now inspired by the sea.

1. Mermaidcore: Blue Underliner

Feel like getting creative? The color blue is made for letting off steam on the eyes. While the classic eyeliner is now often lived in blue, the underliner tends to stay black. The blue waterline was not buried with the 2000s! A kajal in navy, sky or cobalt blue opens the eye. Especially on brown eyes, the colored liner gets the stage it deserves. The theory is based on color theory. Blue is the complementary color to orange, which darkens to brown. Tip: A white liner, applied before the blue, intensifies the color and thus the look. The brave try a cut crease.

2. Coral lipstick

liveliness and energy! The color coral is a mixture of warm pink and a hint of orange and is therefore both delicate and fresh. While the shade brings spirit to lighter skin tones, darker skin types benefit from the color as it intensifies them. If you want to visually emphasize your natural skin color or summer tan, you are well advised to use the light nuance. If you want to give the lip tone more luminosity, frame your lip contour with a somewhat more transparent lip pencil. The almost invisible formulas prevent the product from running into the lip lines and highlight the heart of the lips without a prominent lip liner.

3. Beads on the eyes

“Face Embellishment” is a term that is mainly used at festivals. Romantic pearls and sparkling decorative stones are attached to the face with a little glue. But, far away from music and the desert, the small accessories have also arrived in the underwater theme – after all, they are directly reminiscent of the inside of a shell. Artificially draped on the eyelids with some glue, the look gets an Arielle touch! Tip for attaching: Use a cotton swab to put some eyelash glue on the part of the face that is to be decorated with the pearl. A pair of tweezers helps with precise application.
