The next love break in Hollywood has been confirmed: Meryl Streep and Don Gummer have been separated for many years.
Multiple Oscar winner Meryl Streep (74) and celebrated sculptor Don Gummer (76) have been separated for many years. In an exclusive statement, a spokesperson confirmed to the New York Post: “Don Gummer and Meryl Streep have been separated for more than six years, and while they will always care for each other, they have chosen to live separate lives.”
The surprising news became known on the day the artist was awarded the Princess of Asturias Prize 2023 in Spain, although she wore her wedding ring. The star couple was last seen together at the 2018 Oscars.
Streep and Gummer married in the fall of 1978 and had four children together: the singer-songwriter Henry Wolfe (43) and the actresses Mamie Gummer (40), Grace Gummer (37) and Louisa Jacobson (30). They also now have five grandchildren.
The family owns an estate in the quiet, historic town of Salisbury, Connecticut. In addition to this farm, the married couple shared a spacious Tribeca loft in New York City until they sold it in January 2020 for $15.8 million. Streep then purchased a $4 million home in Pasadena, California in July 2020.
