Met Gala 2023: An exhibition honoring Karl Lagerfeld
After a corona break in 2020 and a delayed event in September 2021, the Met Gala was able to take place again this year as usual on the first Monday in May. It is one of the most important fashion events worldwide, the crème de la crème of the fashion and show world meets and strolls down the red carpet in creative outfits – matching the respective motto. The theme for the 2023 Met Gala has now been announced.
Rather than an era, a trend, or an emotion, the next Met Gala is about a single person: fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. Under the motto: “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” the doors of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York will open on May 1, 2023. It is a special posthumous honor for Karl Lagerfeld, who has developed a close friendship with Anna Wintour, the Editor-in-Chief of American Vogue, The exhibition of the museum’s costume institute will deal with the career of the fashion designer and the guests will probably appear in designs by the German talent.

With a brush and dryer sheets against flying hair
Autumn is here and with it great weather, dry heating air and flying hair. Of course we can try to moisturize our hair even more and comb it constantly – but we didn’t know this one ingenious trick from beauty blogger “Frau Beauty”: For shiny, silky hair, she uses a brush and dryer sheets! The cloth is put over the hairbrush so that the bristles stick out and then the statically charged hair is combed, the effect is immediately visible!
Additional plus point: Depending on the type of towel, the hair is also given a pleasant smell. Big minus point: the garbage that is produced. According to the packaging, the dryer towels usually have to be disposed of in hazardous waste and are therefore not really an environmentally friendly alternative.
