Year after year, the Met Gala delivers the most extravagant fashion and beauty inspirations. This year, the celebrities walked under the motto “Gilded glamour“ down the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. But our gaze didn’t just stop at the outfits, hairstyles and make-up. The nails of celebrity ladies and gentlemen also got the attention they deserved. From everyday use to gun license – we have the most beautiful nail trends from the red carpet.

The Met Gala 2022’s most popular nail trend is rather unexpected for such a pompous event. Because while the clothes were full throttle, many celebrities were rather covered when it came to nails. We could still spot white nail designs. Whether long or short, in the natural French look or with designs attached to a Tippex pen remembered: White nails ruled the red carpet.

Fake It Til You Make It
Anyone who attends the Met Gala has a pretty stressful day. That’s where this nail design comes in: it’s as stylish as it is practical. BlakeLivelyJanelle Monae or Lilly James inspired with nails that were perfectly matched to their clothes. But they didn’t have to sit still for hours. As nail artist ell Gerstein reported, she prepared Blakes elaborate nails days in advance and had time to really let off steam creatively. On the big day, the nails only had to be adjusted and glued on. Perfect for a quick wow effect!
