Otherwise, a nod to Meta Quest 3 should be made to reposition itself on the consumer market given the aggressive arrival of competition (Pico 4 in the lead) in some Western countries. Finally, let’s cross our fingers that great announcements on VR game releases are made. and that Mark Zuckerberg reacts to the “complicated” start ofHorizon Worldsthe Metaverse of Metabringing good news on a significant and imminent development.
If you follow the news of virtual reality, you could not have missed the different leaks on the Meta Quest Pro, the most spectacular of which was the forgetting of a pre-release copy in a hotel. Lately, it’s even a professional, the CEO of software Immersedwho unveiled the pass-through color of the Meta Quest Pro thinking, no doubt that if Mark Zuckerberg had shown himself doing fencing, he could do it his own way too. On the technical side, the leaks talk – and show – pancake lenses, an advanced XR2 chip, face and eye tracking, a 5000 mAh battery, cameras on the controllers and much more. In short, for the most curious, if the leaks are true, it is not on these points that the expectations of gamers – and other VR fans – are focused but rather on the price of the beast. Rumors place its price at the “professional” level, which can only suggest that it will be “expensive”. More or less than a thousand euros? Answer this Tuesday evening.
We could also, why not, hear about the Meta Quest 3 which will clearly be the direct successor of the Quest 2. There too, many leaks have just fallen, including one on its appearance and its characteristics, then another on its impressive power and its less energy-consuming side than the current generation of hybrid helmets. Strategically, talking about it now could motivate some people not to change their VR headset right away to wait for that future baby who will have some under the hood.
On the software side, we should hear about The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners Chapter 2 Retribution and Among Us VR which were already announced last April. but for which we do not yet have the release dates and prices. Optimists, we find ourselves hoping for announcements of new games, or even new licenses for our standalone headsets but times are tough for gamers and Meta, we all know, is rather focused on its Metaverse. But now, why not new and heavy?
