It shows a student attending a virtual university, a surgeon performing a virtual operation, and schoolchildren visiting ancient Rome.
Whether student or surgeon, the helmet presented is much thinner than what is currently madeincluding in comparison to Project Cambria. Also note the use of a fingertip input device. Also know that Meta still hesitating between using this device in the future or using his good old haptic glove. The advantage of the latter is that it would provide force feedback and thus give us the feeling that we are really holding an object. On the other hand, we are perplexed on the haptic side of the first device mentioned above.
Although the presented helmet is truly conceptualin other words, far from the prototype that can light up and work, Meta keep goinginitiated by the Connect 2021. Zuckerberg’s firm intends to impose its vision of the metaverseuntil it became its mainstay. Let’s not be fooled, we know very well that it will take a long time before we can see the many promises that have been made so far, while knowing that other metaverse exist and will exist in the future.
