Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake is controversial before its release, it’s furious

Although it was only a trailer intended to highlight the game’s new engine, it still provided an overview of the gameplay and what the title could look like upon release. . Unfortunately, many people are not satisfied with what they saw.

Shortly after the trailer was released, many observers noted the strange absence of the game’s famous green mist. Konami had obviously opted for graphical fidelity rather than retaining the original artistic design of Snake Eater. Although Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is visually insane, like most major triple-A productions today, some worry that removing the green mist will greatly affect the atmosphere of the game, and not positive way.

It’s stated at the start of the trailer that the footage is from a pre-alpha version of the game, so it’s still possible that the green mist will be added before release, but fans seem unimpressed so far.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater joins the list of “recent” remakes, like Shadow of the Colossus and Demon’s Souls, criticized for sacrificing the artistic ambiance and subtle details of the originals in favor of increased graphical fidelity.
