Metro: The next game in the saga is progressing well and would be completely playable internally

With 31 AAAs in the pipeline, Embrace has its work cut out for it for the next few years. Saber Interactive is working on more than ten of these titles while we know that Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal have five on their side. Among all the large studios acquired by the group, we also find 4A Gamesto whom we owe the games Metro of which Metro Exodus. If we already knew that this team was working tirelessly on the next game in this saga, we learned this week that the project seemed to be much more advanced than you might think.

Next stop: game announcement

The fact that 4A Games was working on a new Metro was not a secret since it was the studio itself which had affirmed it at the end of the year 2020. But since this date, the project has progressed well if we are to believe the insider Tom Henderson .

The latter reveals on his Insider Gaming site that the next Metrowhich would be a sequel to Metro Exodusis now fully playable internally. Which therefore means that an announcement this year is highly probable, even if we should probably not wait for this new episode before next year. Henderson indicates that the game should follow the traditional formula of the saga, but few details are known about it yet.

All eyes will therefore be on E3 and the Summer Game Fest for a potential announcement.
