Season 2 of the “new” Star Academy will make its comeback on November 4 on TF1. Michael Goldman, who will resume his role as director of the school, has just made a surprising revelation about a change in the casting of boys.

It’s official, the star Academy is back for a new season which will land on our screens on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Faced with the success of the previous edition, the channel has in fact decided to start again and organize a new session which will still take place at the famous castle of Dammarie-les-Lys and which will always be structured around bonuses and daily events.

On October 4, the entire faculty was revealed. The opportunity to discover that Yanis Marshall, the famous dance teacher will not be there. Ousted, the choreographer spoke honestly about the reasons for his departure from the show. For his part, Michael Goldman, the son of Jean-Jacques Goldman, who held the position of director, will resume his honorable role.

Already preparing future shows, the co-founder of the label MyMajorCompany ensures that the bar will be set much higher than last year. “There were more people, the level was quite high. There is a real gap among boys” he warned. Aware that boys were less represented in the previous seasonin particular because the fairer sex did not show up at the various castings organized throughout France, he explains: “It was complicated to find young guys who sang pop and variety in 2022”.

I found it super interesting. I was surprised by the level of the guys. They surprised us, they’re very good.” he now rejoices.

To note that Yanis Marshall will be replaced by Malika Benjelloundance teacher in 35 sports centers in France and choreographer who has collaborated with the Black Eyed Peas, Soprano, Jamel Debbouze, Luc Besson (The Dancer) or even Robbie Williams. Finally, Laure Ballon, singing teacher also ousted, will be replaced by Cécile Chaduteauformer backing vocalist for Johnny Hallyday and Sylvie Vartan.
