The distribution of the film was entrusted to the Lionsgate studio and this one “will provide audiences with an in-depth portrait of a complex man who became the King of Pop. It will bring the artist’s most iconic performances to life, while providing insight into his creative work and personal life.” explained Variety, according to a statement on February 7. A big announcement that delighted the artist’s mother, Katherine Jackson. “Since Michael was little, as a member of the Jackson Five, he has loved movie magic. As a family, we are honored to have our story come to life on the big screen.”she said

No release date given

The feature film will recount the rise of Michael Jackson within the Jackson Five, from 1962 to 1970, then retrace the main lines of the famous singer’s life course, his greatest hits –Rock With You (1979) Thriller (1982) and beat it (1982) – to his clips and lives until his death in 2009, at age 50. It is not known, however, if the producers of the film will dare to address the accusations of pedophilia brought against him in the 1990s, as the documentary Leaving Neverland, broadcast in 2019 on HBO, did. No release date has yet been revealed.and it is also not known which actor will take on the costume of one of music’s greatest legends.
