When asked about the fashion trends 2020, he said in an interview with the news agency spot on news: "This year there are no trends." The Corona pandemic said that "all trends that trend researchers and major players had previously announced were no longer applicable". Must-haves: cargo pants and bandana
Michalsky's personal must-have in summer 2020 is cargo pants with many pockets. "Mouthguards and Desi (disinfectant spray) fit in, it looks cool and radiates energy," he explains. In the style of the "we-come-through-attitude".
Speaking of mouth protection: Here the former "Germany's next top model" judge likes to fall back on bandanas, which can also be worn as a scarf when not in use. "A little bit of the old western look, but much cooler," he says. "I recommend purchasing several pieces in different colors." These could then be styled to match the look.
He no longer wants to see this style in 2020
Cargo pants, yes. Skinny jeans on men, please don't. According to Michalsky, this style is "so out". And the designer does not see the color of the year, Classic Blue, this season either. "Who wants to look like a gas station?" He asks with a laugh. "This blue doesn't fit in the summer." Which colors, on the other hand, are very popular – the designer explains: "Black is always a strong orange as an accent. Encouraging and steadfast."
