Michael Weatherly (NCIS): This heavy health concern that kept him away from his wife Bojana

September 19 on CBS will air the 20th season of the series NCIS: Special Investigations. A season that will be marked by the probable return of Michael Weatherly who played special agent Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo from 2003 to 2016. Steven D. Binder, the series’ executive producer, gave his opinion on a potential return of the 54-year-old actor in an interview with TV Insider : “For the past few years, he and I have talked a lot, but he was always very busy with Bull (…) The last time we spoke, he told me that he was going to rest because these last years have been tiring for him, not only with Bull, but also with the Covid. Over time, we will see what is possible or not…“A return of Michael Weatherly is therefore not yet in the news.

When I gained weight, I weighed 113 kilos

If Michael Weatherly seems in better shape than ever, the actor has always gone through a bad period in his life. About ten years ago, Michael Weatherly, who had just married Bojana Jankovic (his wife since 2009 and with whom he has two children: Olivia, 10 years old and Liam (8 and a half years old), was faced with a of considerable weight. And this caused the actor to suffer from sleep apnea. The actor slept away from his then pregnant wife so that she would not have to endure her husband’s snoring.”When I gained weight, I was 113 kilos, I started snoring and it was annoying. So I spent a lot of time on the couch or in other rooms“, said Michael Weatherly in an interview with People in December 2018.

Accompanied by trainer Juliet Kaska, the 54-year-old actor then embarked on a diet that made him lose 35 pounds (16 kilos). “I stayed away from pasta, rice, bread, potatoes… Anything I like to eat, I haven’t eaten. And I limited myself on the consumption of alcohol“, he explained to People. Thanks to this draconian diet, Michael Weatherly had to lessen the harmful effects of this strong weight gain!
