Michel Drucker hospitalized: good news for the host, but an unfortunate consequence

After three weeks of hospitalization for check-ups two years after his heavy heart operation, Michel Drucker was able to return to his home on Monday, April 27. But his return to the air has logically been delayed by more than a month.

A big sigh of relief. Three weeks ago, Michel Drucker had to be hospitalized for what was to be only a check-up in connection with his heavy heart operation which occurred in 2020. But the presenter, who is now 80 years old, saw his stay which was only to last a week being extended. So much so that Michel Drucker had to spend the last three weeks in his hospital bed: he was only allowed to leave this Monday, April 27, according to information from our colleagues from Parisian.

It must be said that during their routine examination, the doctors discovered several elements of recurrence which required a lot of additional care. Now officially back home, the director of antennas and programs for France Télévisions, Stéphane Sitbon-Gomez, said he was more than relieved: “Michel is fine. He has returned home. He needs to rest after these trying weeks of hospitalization. But he is already actively preparing for his return”.

Michel Drucker will return to television in mid-April

But this return will logically be delayed. Michel Drucker was initially to return to the antenna from the month of March, but this will be done rather around mid-April. While waiting for him to recover his place, France 3 will continue to offer reruns of Vivement dimanche to its viewers or retransmissions of cycling races, depending on the week.

This convalescence will also have the impact of delaying the return of Michel Drucker on stage, he who was to resume his autobiographical show entitled From you to me. The latter will not return until next September.
