Michel Houellebecq is definitely full of surprises. Writer, actor, director, singer, poet or essayist, the man of letters is now trying porn. Indeed, on March 11, he will star in the film KIRAC 27, directed by the Dutch collective KIRAC (Keeping It Real Art Critics). For the most curious, a trailer is available on the YouTube platform, enough to give you an idea of what awaits you. The synopsis? While the wife of Michel Houellebecq organized him a honeymoon full of prostitutes, in Morocco, the event fell through due to a terrorist threat. “People were afraid that he was kidnapped by Muslim extremists”explains in voice-over the director, Stefan Ruitenbeek, who also indicates: “His wife had spent a month arranging prostitutes in advance and now it was all falling apart.”
Eager to help out Michel Houellebecq, Stefan Ruitenbeek then suggested that he go to Amsterdam, where he knew “full of girls (…) who would sleep with the famous writer out of curiosity”. However, the director has one condition to arrange these meetings: to have the “permission to film everything“. Difficult to say if it is a fiction or a documentary, whatever it is, there will be a before and an after KIRAC 27, certainly.

A highly controversial figure, Michel Houellebecq has caused much ink to flow in recent weeks following his interview with Michel Onfray in the magazine Front Populaire. The writer presents Muslims in particular as a threat to the safety of non-Muslim French people, while hoping that “white supremacism becomes ‘trendy’ in the United States”. The Union of Mosques of France announced on Friday January 13 that it had filed a complaint against the writer for “incitement to discrimination, hatred or violence“.
