On knows the vaguely arrogant phrase that Édouard Philippe enjoyed when he was Prime Minister: “The beam is still working. He meant by this that the right, already in bad shape by the victory of Emmanuel Macron, had not finished its transformation. To be honest, we were only at the beginning of the rallies, the LR deputies ending up understanding where their interest lay, if not their survival.

But it turns out that this “working beam” has knots, which are always annoying. Lots of knots, even, which today are starting to break the majority.
