Now 75 years old, the unbeatable Michel Sardou is preparing to make his comeback on stage in 2023. He talks about the voice problems he encounters.
We no longer present him, he is a sacred monster of French song. With more than 50 years of career on the clock, he can always count on a solid audience. Some of his titles have become legendary, such as Connemara Lakes or France. During the announcement of his upcoming tour, the public proved to him that he would be there. And for good reason, Michel Sardou has not been on stage for far too long! 100,000 tickets were sold out in just eight hours. It was his wife who pushed him to return to the stage, but it is not without pressure that the idol of a whole generation returns to the path of concerts. Although he plays at home, in Normandy, his voice problems worry him and he prepares like a real sportsman. One thing is certain, he can’t wait to find his audience and it’s mutual. He has already announced that his tour will be “a recital, but I would like to show the audience something they haven’t seen before. I don’t want to copy and paste my recitals before with the same songs. Obviously there will be the big hits, I cannot remove them, but they will be treated in a special way”.
