The German Schlager has a new dream couple: Michelle and Eric Philippi. The singer is “the happiest woman in the whole world”.
At the moment there is probably no more beautiful couple in German hits than Michelle (51) and Eric Philippi (26). The singer and her colleague are not only in love on TV, in a new interview they also explain how happy they are with each other.
At the big “Schlagerboom Open Air – The Stadium Show in Austria” the two moderators Florian Silbereisen (41) answered a few questions. After the headlines of the past few days, Michelle confirmed that they really are a couple: “That’s right and I’m the happiest person and woman in the whole world.” Silbereisen was exuberantly happy for the two: “It’s really nice and your heart rises.” Philippi is “a cool, romantic guy,” Michelle continued.
“The word ‘in love’ just isn’t enough”
Also in an interview with “Bild am Sonntag”. the two about their love. As the singer explains, the couple first met at a concert a good year and a half ago. “When we first hugged, I had such a strong feeling that I’ve never had before, even though we didn’t know each other at all,” says Michelle. It was “as if I had waited my whole life for this person”. He also had the feeling “that we are connected to each other on a higher level. The word ‘in love’ is simply not enough, we are kindred spirits.”
According to Philippi, the two only met in April when he accompanied her on her tour. Shortly before that, Michelle had on Instagram also a joint photo of the two released on stage. For a long time, Michelle “pushed away” her feelings for her current boyfriend. She feared “he might think I’m just saying that”.
Michelle and Eric Philippi want to move in together
The two are “really inseparable,” continues Michelle. According to the singer, they spend no more than one night a week apart. So you want to take the next step and move in together. “We’re looking for a place where we can relax together, preferably a house by the lake,” says Michelle.
The singer is “the love of my life” and he can also say that about her. The age difference is not an issue for either of them. Or as she sums it up: “I don’t see Eric as this young man of 26 who I love. It’s his soul that I love. It doesn’t matter whether that soul is 26 or 86.” It remains to be seen whether they want to start a family together: “Everything comes as it comes, and that’s the right way.”
