Microsoft: enhanced collaboration with UBS in the ‘cloud’


(CercleFinance.com) – UBS announced Thursday that it will expand its collaboration with Microsoft through a partnership designed to accelerate the adoption of cloud technologies over the next five years.

At the end of the project, the Swiss wealth management specialist plans to migrate more than 50% of its applications, including certain workloads considered ‘critical’, to Microsoft Azure, which is already its preferred ‘cloud’ platform. .

In 2018, when UBS unveiled its ‘cloud’ strategy and formalized its collaboration with Microsoft, the group set itself the goal of migrating a third of its applications to the ‘cloud’ within four years, a performance that had finally been achieved in less than three years, namely from February 2021.

In their joint press release, UBS and Microsoft also express their intention to jointly develop products and services to meet the demand for digital tools from customers in the banking and financial sector.
