Microsoft is in talks to bring ChatGPT capabilities to “Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other apps, so users can automatically generate text using simple prompts,” Apple Insider said.

It remains to be seen whether OpenAI’s AI technology can help with office automation, even as Microsoft’s previous attempts to help with text and formula writing have rarely been successful.
Microsoft has invested $1 billion in OpenAI
Microsoft invested $1 billion in OpenAI in 2019, and could therefore recoup its investment in several areas of its business. Note that the integration of AI into its products has already taken place in the Copilot coding assistance tool.
