At a time when the 100 versions of browsers worry, Microsoft continues to quietly test new features for Edge. One of the latest concerns one of its video calling tools. Several Edge Canary users have discovered that Skype Meet may soon be integrated into the browser via a dedicated icon on the taskbar. Like each new button addition, the option is disabled by default and requires simple manipulation through the Settings and then the Appearance tab.
By clicking on it, Internet users can access a box allowing them to name and start a meeting directly from the Internet browser or to join one via an invitation link. A choice that challenges and debates within the community. What is Microsoft’s recommended video conferencing application? The Redmond firm has indeed tended to bet on Teams rather than Skype lately.
