Microsoft announces that it will deploy the Windows 11 23H2 update to all compatible PCs still running version 21H2 or 22H2, even if you don’t want to change.
While we wait for the version 24H4 of Windows 11 for September 2024 with many new features, some users have not yet taken the step of updating to 11:30 p.m.. Available since last November, it has brought quite a few things to our computers, including the famous AI virtual assistant Copilot. Out of disinterest or fear of possible bugs, many people have chosen not to launch the update despite having a compatible device. However, it will have to be done.
Microsoft announces that it will automatically update eligible PCs still running version 21H2 or 22H2 to Windows 11 23H2 of the operating system. The stated goal is to prevent too many machines running with Windows whose support has stopped even though they could benefit from the latest version. The company also indicates that the operation will be based on its AI system allowing deployment in theory without a hitch.

The Microsoft website states that “Windows 11, version 23H2 […] is now entering a new deployment phase. We’re starting to automatically update eligible Windows 11 devices to version 23H2. This automatic update targets Windows 11 devices that have reached or are nearing end of support and makes use of the machine learning (ML)-based feature we’ve used so far. We will continue to train our intelligent ML model to safely deploy this new version of Windows in stages to provide a smooth update experience“.
For your part, you normally do not have to fear a system error, Windows 11 update 23H2 does not require a different configuration from the previous ones. This is not the case for the 24H2 which will leave some processors considered too old behind.
