Mike Pence continues to oppose Donald Trump: The US Vice President apparently wants to come to the inauguration of Joe Biden.

A few days ago, the speculation became a certainty: The outgoing US President Donald Trump (74) will not attend the inauguration of his successor Joe Biden (78) on January 20. Trump announced this on Twitter shortly before his account was permanently blocked by the short message service. One who apparently wants to participate is Vice President Mike Pence (61). Several US media report this unanimously.

According to "CNN", Pence had already signaled that he would attend the ceremony in Washington D.C. wanted to attend, he was just waiting for an invitation. Speaking of the reports, Biden had said that Pence was welcome: "I think it is important that we should, as far as possible, maintain the historical tradition of changing government," Biden said. It was an honor to have Pence with him at the inauguration.

With this, Pence distances himself further from Trump. The 61-year-old officially recognized Biden's victory in the election last Wednesday and refused to prevent the election victory from being confirmed, as Trump had previously asked him to do.
