Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson: love-out after less than a year of relationship

Everything should be over between Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson – after less than a year of relationship.

Between pop star Miley Cyrus (27, "Younger Now") and her boyfriend, the Australian musician Cody Simpson (23, "Free"), everything should be over again. This is reported by the US celebrity portal "TMZ", among others. Several insiders are said to have revealed to the site that the two musicians separated sometime in the last few weeks and thus after about a year of relationship. The reasons for the separation are so far unclear.

Cyrus and Simpson are said to have been a couple since October 2019. Shortly before, Cyrus broke up with blogger Kaitlynn Carter (31) after a brief liaison. In August 2019, Cyrus announced that the marriage to actor Liam Hemsworth (30, "The Hunger Games") had failed after only seven months. According to matching media reports, their divorce was officially through in late January.

Billing in a new single?

Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus released her new single "Midnight Sky". In it, or so it seems, she settles accounts with her exes. The chorus says, among other things: "I was born to run. I don't belong to anyone. I don't need to be loved by you." In German, for example: "I was born to run. I don't belong to anyone. I don't have to be loved by you."

In the clip, Cyrus wears a black body with a glittering Chanel chain, gloves set with gemstones and high heels. There are also rhinestones stuck to her ankle, which form the letters YSL – the abbreviation of the French fashion company Yves Saint Laurent.
