“Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi are about to tie the knot. They are married by an old acquaintance.
“Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown (20) will soon walk down the aisle with her fiancé Jake Bongiovi (21). An old acquaintance from the cast of the successful Netflix series is waiting for them there: Like actor Matthew Modine (65), also known as Eleven’s “Papa” alias Dr. Martin Brenner, revealed in an interview with “Access Daily” that he will lead the ceremony in which his younger colleague marries the son of Jon Bon Jovi (62).
In an interview with the portal, he also revealed how this came about. “I have one of those licenses to marry people and Millie thought it would be great. Jake thought it was a great idea too. So I wrote a wedding vow and they loved what I wrote to shake hands and man and become a woman,” explained Modine. He added: “It’s so beautiful to bring two people into the holy state of marriage.”
In April 2023, Millie Bobby Brown got engaged to Jake Bongiovi with an Instagram post made known. Alongside a black and white photo that shows, among other things, her engagement ring, she wrote: “I’ve loved you for three summers now darling, I want them all.”

In February, she told Jimmy Fallon’s “Tonight Show” (49) how her engagement to her future husband went. According to Millie Bobby Brown, she has so far kept secret the details of the proposal because she wanted to keep the “key moments” private. But it is “too good a story not to tell.”
Jake Bongiovi proposed to her underwater. “He put the ring on my hand and when I went to show him the ring on it, the ring fell off my finger and fell into the depths,” she recalled. “Jake plunged himself so deep into the water that the dive guide said, ‘You can’t do that. Your ears, your brain will literally explode.’ It was “like in a movie,” said the actress. Luckily, her fiancé was just able to get hold of the ring.
